 The
OUTBOARD in
American Red Oak with Striped Oxblood Grille
 The
New Laser Engraved Face of the OUTBOARD

Oak/Striped Oxblood ~ Walnut/Cane
"I've heard and used many of the best
analogue and digital reverb units and this blows them all away! My
hammond organs have the original tube driven reverb units in them
that hammond invented...this unit flat out sounds better! You really
have to hear a "three knob" reverb unit for yourself"

The Outboard is a faithful re-creation of the 1963 stand
alone reverb units that became famous. Actually the circuit
was developed by the Hammond Organ Co. It is available in a dovetailed 'traditional' cabinet as well as a Rack
mounted version. (3 rack spaces)

Three
adjustable parameters to shape your tone!
-
Dwell- This
control determines the
strength of the signal going to the reverb ‘tank’ and thus
how hard the springs are driven. This varies the amount of
time that it takes for the signal to return to the mix control.
-
Tone- This
control adjusts the
tonal characteristic of the ‘wet’ portion of the signal
only. This allows compensation for the acoustics of the room.
-
Blend-
This control varies the amount of ‘wet’ signal added to the
‘dry’ signal before it exits the unit.

 Is
this an echo/delay effect? No, Not really.
A reverb lengthens or
stretches out the signal. This gives it ‘body’ and
‘richness’ increasing sustain of held notes. On it’s most
extreme settings a very slight “echo” or delay occurs known as
"slapback". An
echo unit repeats the signal one or more times over itself.
