    Hi, I am Doug Stalters. 

I build custom amplifiers and speaker cabs for the discriminating musician who will settle for nothing less than the absolute finest.

    I strive to accurately re-create the classic tonal circuits of yesterday that have withstood the test of time. I do this the old fashioned way

......One at a time and entirely by hand!  

I have over 25 years of hands on experience in electronics as well as fine woodworking.  

     I also design and build one-of-a-kind amplifiers that take the best features from the finest classic circuits and add new technologies. This adds new tonal qualities that were not possible in the days of their creation. All circuits are vacuum tube driven and I use no printed circuit boards. All tag board is military spec. solid 1/8" G-10 garolite epoxy. 

No 'tweed disease' here!

   A great deal of  research goes into the development of the circuits that I use. They emerge with all of the golden tone of yesterday that just cannot be equaled in  factory produced, or solid state components.

    There are scores of companies producing amplification products today. Most are mass produced, printed circuit units, that are put together with minimal human contact. There is little care or devotion to tone.  

The "bottom line" is  'their'  primary concern!

 Even today's tube amps bear little resemblance to the great tone machines that  inspired their design.  

Terms like "Re-issue", "Classic", and "Vintage" are tossed around so freely, that these words have all but lost their meaning.

The utmost attention is given to even the smallest of details. From the conceptual and design stages; to the selection of materials; building; testing and "tweaking".  

Here at you'll find an unwavering and obsessive, devotion to quality! 

      I devote the same energy to the cabinets that house my components as I do to the circuits. 

I believe that they compliment each other.

I use only the finest of tone resonant hardwoods, marine grade stainless steel hardware and leather handles.  Add to that dovetail joinery, hand sanding & finishing and the result is a product of heirloom quality that will give many years of reliable service. 

All components are warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship, for life, to the original client.  

On 11/18/01 and again on 11/15/03, I attended Gerald Weber's
amp design seminars in Kempner Texas.
What an incredible learning experience!
